About

Welcome to

ABOUT US

Our aim is to gather the churches in Dorset and the surrounding counties and those who come from further afield to encourage them with solid Bible teaching. We bring in guest speakers from the UK and other countries to open up God's Word and help us apply it to our situation. Our events are all shapes and sizes, ranging our biennial Men's Convention day to the Summer Convention which traditionally takes place every weekday in the first week of July.

OUR STORY

Starting in 1993 with Rev. RT Kendall as our speaker, the Bournemouth Bible Week began as the Bournemouth and Poole Convention. The goal: to have a week in the year dedicated to sound Bible teaching which would bring together the churches in the South-Western counties.  The Conventions we have run have chosen many different speakers from the UK and internationally, helping all who attend to understand how God’s word applies to us today whatever our situation.

An equally important objective is to provide an opportunity for churches to deepen their fellowship and get to know other churches in the area plus brothers and sisters from all over the country. We believe strongly that unity under the Gospel, led by God’s Word, is the way in which His kingdom can have a strong impact on our society today.

2020 gave us the opportunity to revamp our conventions to engage with a fresh generation. So, a new name was born – “The Bournemouth Bible Week”. The name may have changed but the goals remain the same - “Gathering the Churches, Preaching the Word”.

Final Clearance

Bournemouth Bible Week is a part of 'The Keswick Fellowship'. A network of Events across the United Kingdom.

Across the UK, there are nearly 40 locations where Bible Weeks or local ‘Keswick’ events are taking place.  Some identify themselves by the name Keswick, and others are in fellowship with the wider work but use other titles (whether Bible weeks, Conventions, or other designations).  They have a family-likeness but have no formal or legal association.

For more information about our partnership or other events, please go to their website:
